After getting a few emails regarding this and also trying to cut down on the site's bandwidth usage each month and trying to make this board pleasant for everyone including myself, I'm posting to request that people refrain from using large photos in their signature files. Large photos take a long time to load for anyone using a modem to browse the board, take up room when scrolling through posts and all around, are putting a lot of stress on the board and my site.
I had noticed that some people were using full size images for their board icons, and I've asked that you refrain from doing that -- and you really shouldn't link to anyone else's site and do that too cause it's bandwidth stealing -- and I'm happy to make lots of fun Jonny icons that you can use (and except lots more coming in the other thread). They are much nicer to look at too instead of seeing an image forced to be a certain size by html.
Small photos with small file sizes are perfectly exceptable in signature files (like Estella's gorgeous Jonny sig).
I know not everyone has access to programs like photoshop. And that you really want to post an image of Jonny in your custom signature. So I'm offering my services to provide you with your own custom signature photos -- if there is a photo of Jonathan that you really want to use, I can alter the photo to a smaller size and even put in a quote or your name on the photo and I'll host it on the site for you -- this saves me bandwidth cause the photo would be much smaller in file size than the original full size image.
Anyways... sorry if this comes off a bit confusing but I hope you understand what I'm requesting. It will only makes this much easier on the board and the site.
So... if you want a custom signature -- let me know the following:
-Image of Jonny to use
-If you want the image to be a certain color
-If you want any text on the image (like a quote or your name or nickname)
-The text you want on the image
-The style of font to use for the text (like cursive, funky, plain or anything goes)
