Special selfish request here Silk - I'm mush with the words and music. Totally useless for at least an hour afterward. But I haven't been able to get all the music. If you have any advance notice can you tell us the songs beforehand? I know, I'm being a pain - but I want to play the music the first time I read it.

That would be a little hard to do, Alba, only because I don't always know what songs I'm going to use until I actually write it. However, I could post what the songs are and where they came from right after I post the actual story, if that would help.

Ironically, I don't even know what most of the songs I chose sound like myself. I picked the songs by their lyrics, not their melodies. I've been using a song lyrics website to search for artists and songs, and Mali has sent me some of her favorite songs as well. That's where these came from. (In some of the earlier stories and the Jack stories, I did use some of my own favorites, which is why I knew what those sounded like. Very well.)

But I did a search to find out where the songs in Part 49 came from, and this is what I came up with:

Lie to Me comes from Bon Jovi's These Days album. Who Loves You Better comes from Lyle Lovett's Road to Ensenada album. (That one I do own, btw.) Highway Kind was written in 1972 by Townes Van Zandt. It was re-released on an album of the same name in 1997 after his death. (You can do a search for his website, and there is a link for merchandise.) And finally, Don't Give Up is from Peter Gabriel's album So.

I hope this helps. :)
