A week ago last night, I was really bored. My husband was out in the living room playing his favourite game, and I was flipping through the channels. I was stopped dead in my tracks by the sight of Ewan McGregor doing a great impersonation of what I figured was either Kurt Cobain or Iggy Pop (didn't know what era the film was set in yet, so it was hard to tell). I watched for a bit more, made note of the name of the film, and checked to see when it would be on again because it looked interesting. Luckily, it was just a few hours away. When the time for the next showing arrived, I got ready to see what in the world Ewan was up to when I got hit by a vision of near perfection -- yes, you know what it was -- Jonny.
In the week since then, I've seen VG 5 more times, purchased the CD, found a copy of Bend it Like Beckham on the net and watched it twice, rented and watched Titus, rented and watched Ride With the Devil (twice), and bought and watched Gormenghast. My husband is sure I've flipped my lid and I'm learning what it's been like for him living with me teasing him about his Nicole Kidman fixation for the last few years. They aren't kidding when they say paybacks are hell
I'm Kriselda, also known as "ThorsWitch" (just in case you see that nick around - it's the one I usually use on message boards and instant messangers, and near as I can tell, I'm pert much the only ThorsWitch around *g*), and am probably far too old to have such a crush one anyone, but what can I say? hehe (Ok, I'm 37, but I've always had a thing for younger guys -- my hubby [Nyghtfall] is 30). I think part of why I initially found Jonny so striking is that - especially in the "Sebastian" scene, he looks a bit like my husband when he was younger (I've known Nyghtfall since he was 16 - but we didn't date until he was 21). In the week since I first saw him, though, I've come to respect his acting a great deal (...and even Nyghtfall recognizes that he's very talented in that respect), and am looking foward to getting to see more of his work.
Just a bit about me - I'm disabled and have been homebound for about 3 years, so I can't see movies in the theaters. I also have lots of free time on my hands, so am always looking for new things to keep life interesting
I tend to read a lot - especially true crime books, and play both Everquest and Dark Ages of Camelot. I'm also terribly hooked on Roger Howarth from "One Life to Live" (and have decided that my new goal in life is to come up with a film that needs two very charismatic villians-protagonists for you to root for, so Roger and Jonny can do a movie together for me - hehe). I run a website called Thunderhaven (thunderhaven.net), that features a journal, blog, stuff about a bunch of my favourites, poetry I've written, photos of my family and other weird stuff. If you drop by, be sure to leave a note in the guestbook!
Well, I've prattled on there long enough -- looking forward to getting to know y'all!
