Posts: 113 01/12/07 06:28:06 Sparkle	Tags : None No idea how accurate this is so treat it as rumour. Jonny is apparently going to star in Love and Virtue with Peter O'Toole and John Malkovich. It's based on the epic poem The Song of Roland, set in the court of Charlemagne. It was due to start 21 March in Belgium and Luxemburg - unless anything has changed since that news from November. If true, it looks like he's going to go straight from Children of Huang Shi to Bronte to Love and Virtue and then the second series of The Tudors with about a half hour break in between!

At least Bronte isn't the main lead. I'm sure he's going to need/want a break after filming Children. And before a possible second series of The Tudors (that's not official but hopefully will happen as long as the ratings are good). Though when I went to the actual board for the movie, someone said it films at the end of the year. Who knows but if he does this movie, he has the official title of workaholic.

All the links to the various named producers are untouched. If it's for real, I hope he does a bit more contemporary stuff before going back to the period pieces.

Don't know how accurate all of this is. update: as of today (Sunday) now his name is BACK on the movie's page and the movie is BACK on JRM's IMBd page....I'm so confused! Sounds like it was unveiled -- as a production preparing to get started -- at Toronto Film Festival with filming to start in April. Jonathan's role is obviously perfect for him -- dark, tortured, romantic, evil with a touch of good. And this director is well respected although I don't think he's ever done an English language film.
